Brandon Carlson - Introduction to Agile Software Development
In this session we'll use a variety of examples to demonstrate the challenges we face when executing on software development projects and introduce simple ways to alleviate these challenges. While this will not be an in depth discussion on specific Agile processes such as Scrum and XP, it will provide a foundation for a new way of looking at our project work.
Brandon Carlson is an IT Leader at GeoLearning, Inc. in West Des
Moines. Brandon has over 7 years of experience in Agile software
development in multiple roles including development and project
management. He is a co-founder of the Agile Iowa user group and has
presented at numerous local and national groups and conferences
including IIBA, Agile 2008, and Agile 2009. He is almost as passionate
about effective delivery of valuable software as he is passionate
about learning and building community. In his spare time he likes to
read and practice his craft.
